Nick Balla and Cortney Burns opened this off the back of Bar Tartine, and it shows in the room-craft: banquettes at conversation angle, lighting warm enough to eat by, loud enough to disappear into.
The drinks read as bartender-food — split-base spec'd around whatever's in the pass. The room lets you linger. That's the whole trick.
